Also, he's been in the red pretty consistently. It seems that going to 15u might be a way of recalibrating where we left off with Lantus (16u).
Eddie is so odd. I can see the yellow-green in his eyes which tell me he's high numbers but tonight he was so sweet sitting in the bay window behind a plant. I turned around and could see him looking at me intently with one eye through the plant. It was really something. He then came onto the couch and put his paws in my lap and sat there purring, letting me stroke him.
This sounds normal, right? But it's not for Eddie, not since the had the surgery and there was a number of problems, one of which probably injured his hypothalamus making him react whenever he's approached too fast. He hisses. Contrary to who he once was, he usually won't tolerate being touched. He hisses and growls, although he would never strike out. It's been hard because I want to comfort him but it often just makes him growly. When he comes to sit on me, it brings tears to eyes, especially when he's purring.
Anyway, that's the story for the night. I could increase in the morning. I'm here for almost the whole day, working from home. WWWD?
