Hi, Biggie is on day 5 of receiving insulin, .5U bid.
Yesterday was the first day he dropped consistently into the 200s.
I was anxious about giving insulin this morning but thought If not close to 100 I should give. After reading more guidance on SLGS, I realize it may not have been a good idea to give his dose this morning. I am going to be checking his numbers often and have maple syrup and HC wet food.

Should I have not fed and taken a reading later? Skipped his dose and waited for evening?
How worried should I be?

Spreadsheet in my signature.

Thank you and very grateful for this group. <3

I will tag a few members for you as long as you can monitor him and have syrup ,mc and hc food available. I'm not an expert but 187 was close enough to 200 to shoot

You don’t want gravy with a 199 bg. It was close enough to shoot. Go to lc next feeding. Those numbers are within 20% meter variance and so flat. Save the gravy for under 100 or a big drop.
