About at the end of my rope here. Increased to 16u.

Have to bring Blue (Eddie's brother) back to emerg clinic. When they released him yesterday they mentioned that his foot was swollen from the IV catheter and that it would resolve. Last night he was really limping and I called to tell them and they assured me, no worries, but this morning his whole leg is swollen. We are going back.

Could someone tell me how to get a SS sheet going for Blue so that I'm not confusing the threads?

Thanks

Poor Blue. I hope his leg is better. Sending prayers.
I hope the increase for Eddie brings lower numbers.
For the SS, you can start a new one and link it to your signature so both will be available no matter which cat you are posting for.

Returned from vet: they say it will resolve itself and not to worry. At the very least, they charged me nothing even though when I phoned I was told there would be a "recheck" charge. I actually talked for quite awhile with the vet (who happens to be the owner of two clinics here, one of them the only emergency clinic) and he was mindful enough to listen to my concerns regarding Blue and to hear what I had to say about getting him off the "special" vet diet. I told him that the IM vet and I don't see eye to eye about food and he was open enough to hear what I had to say.:cat:

As for the SS: when I joined, someone else (can't recall) created the SS for me so I don't know how to do it. :-) :)

Tagging Bhooma so she can help you set up ss for Blue! Shes probably sleeping right now but will see when she gets up;)

@Bandit's Mom
Oh, thanks!! It must have been Bhooma who helped me with Eddie's SS. I gotta say, I hope that I can get Blue back into remission by changing up his food. Started to give him a blend (75-25) of the "special" diet and the Weurva low phosphorus and (relatively) low carb diet. Once I've got that happening, I'll be introducing raw along with EZComplete.

I also have to get Blue onto Eddie's insulin schedule. At the clinic they did 7:00am-7:00 pm and Eddie's is 8:00am-8:00pm. Makes for a bit of chaos, especially in the morning. Changing 15 mins at a time.

Thanks, again!

Maybe it was Bhooma. She’s a wonder. When she comes back online, I know she will help.

As you can see, we are having a wild ride tonight: PMPS 338 +2.75 155 +4 94

And, on the other end of the spectrum, Blue @ +3.5 551 and +4.5 497 I'm hoping this doesn't mean another trip to the hospital.

@Bandit's Mom Hi Bhooma, I don't know if you've been following the last week or not but my other cat, Blue, who is Eddie's brother was diagnosed about a month ago with early CKD. He also had acromegaly and had the same surgery, etc. that Eddie had.He was OTJ for two years but came back on when his BG was so high I had to take him to emergency clinic. This was following him eating vet renal diet, which for a diabetic is gasoline on a fire. We're at 2u BiD currently and he's pretty high still: See above ^^^^

I'm wondering if you'd be able to help me with a SS for him, now. Not sure how to do so. Would it be Jodey&Blue? Thanks, Bhooma.
