Not sure what to do at this point. At 2 units he dips too low and goes hypo, at 1.75 he's not going into green and is holding higher numbers. This morning instead of breaking his meal up into 3 feedings at PS, +1, and +2 I just fed the whole amount at PS to see if it makes any difference and if feeding the +1 and +2 is keeping his BG up too much.

Any advice is welcome here, as I hate to go back to 2 units, only to repeat the same thing over again.

Is it possible to always get a +2? Just wondering if you could catch the drops and give him MC to slow down if you see a big drop the .

So far I haven’t had to use much MC even in drops. I think I may be misunderstanding the possible to get a +2 always. Do you mean a BG reading? Or a feeding?

also, do you think I should hold on the 1.75 unit for now?
you can see by his chart how fast he went down to 1.75, and when I increased a few days ago, he dropped suddenly.

I’ve been sick and the past few days, so I’m behind on work. Can’t guarantee I can be here to make sure he doesn’t go to low since he drops at different times. Sometimes its at shot time, others +3, +6, and maybe even a couple of hours before AMPS while I’m sleeping.

It seems TR protocol looks at this as a failed reduction, yet it’s similar to the last deduction/increase.

And he’s just so darn bouncy.

+2 BG test, then give food if he's dropping at that time.

You are right that he seems to be failing the reduction to 1.75 units - again. As much as I love feeding raw, I'm wondering if something with a tiny bit more carbs might help him hold the 2.0 unit dose.

I'll try to get +2's over the next few days. Most of the time I fill the feeder for +1 & +2. I suppose I can play with it and see if a bit more carbs work better at shot time with a LC @ +2, vice versa.
