Mad at myself 3rd time that am supposed to withdraw from a pen without pulling bubbles in & I just can’t do it…wasted 15 syringes & over 25 units of insulin trying & didn’t even manage to be happy with the result…big bubble in each of the 3 times no clue how much am giving him so annoyed doubt it’s possible but if there’s anyone anywhere able to explain how to do this to me please help because am close to implosion……and the ones who already think am an idiot for keeping a diabetic cat alive are given good cause for critics & giggles

Which syringes do you use? I would try another brand. I used to get small bubbles at times but also started with a little more than needed and flicked them to the top and tried getting them out. If not completely successful I used that syringe with the bubble and Max just got a tad less that cycle.

Nobody dared tell me not to keep a diabetic cat alive. Those people would no longer be my friends.

The only ones any better here has sadly…now 3 clinics & that’s all they use they are called BD Ultra Fine II not sure if that speaks to you though sorry

Couldn’t care less about the supposed friends who think & some said it but my dad was raised the way that an animal is an animal if it gets sick well that’s too bad…and if it’s meant to cost for no real result even less point…by saying that he still helps me for example looking up for FF on the net if I say none to be found when am there or in other ways but to him it’s just a cat…:( old generation different culture etc

I agree with Elise on this. I would find it hard to be friends with these people. If it were my family, I would have to tell them to mind their own business or keep their comments and thoughts to themselves!

I switched brands of syringes to stop the air bubble problem. I switched to BD syringes and no longer had problems with air bubbles, but I have no idea what kind of syringes you are using or what you can buy there. It’s so funny how some people here love the UltiCare syringes and I hated them. I had nothing but air bubbles with them! I think everyone is different. It would not hurt to switch brands though.

Try not to stress out about it so much. If it’s not a huge bubble and you really can’t get it out, just shoot. I did this many times before I got the better syringes. It’s not a perfect world. How is your dog?
