06/17 SHAI AMPSHI PMPS 383 +2 250

What have you normally been feeding him at +1 ? Did you ever find any other higher carb options. I've been out of it for a week or so... so catch me up :-)
 
There's another cat on this Board named Merlin. He is also an early diver. He's been getting about 7.7 percent carbs at +1 and +2 to slow him down. Sometimes it works :-) I wonder if Shai needs even more though? He is VERY determined.

Honestly haven’t tried anything much else than the FF Classic pate but giving him the beef or the tuna as he seems to get higher numbers on them so he gets 1/2 pre shot then 1/2 at +1 & at +4 his snack is 1/2 of a low carb thing called ultimates or a pate called dine/crave

Am still not good at knowing the percentage of carbs or what’s good or not though am getting to understand how his numbers go & patterns show
Maybe I could try the ultimates which have 3-4% carbs then at +1 but how do I go with his meal ?! As been giving him 1/2 pre shot & seems to help numbers go down especially if he’s high
 
He’s surprisingly not super high “yet” tonight so am hoping something is improving..

my friend cat not sure if you saw spent night at clinic they reduced his insulin from 4u to 2u & he went from 24 in the morning had 2u of insulin at midday but wasn’t told how high he was……went down to 8.5 at +4….so they discharged him & tild her don’t give any insulin tonight but come back tomorw……but the plan is 2u for a month…makes me ummmmmmm
 
Well, you could try a teaspoon of gravy at +1. It's high carb but may help prevent the dives. It won't last that long though so I have no idea if he'd just dive at +2 or +3. But maybe not. It's all very experimental. I wish I could help with foods, but I'm in the US so not much help in naming specific foods.

tried once don’t recall what & he rocketed high for all day so now am not sure what to try I’ll experiment with the 3-4% carb hopefully going to petbarn tomorw will see if I can get some weruva or else
 
Feed him some of the 3-4 now then? He's dropping. Let's see if we can slow it down. Don't know if the carbs will be enough though as it's really low.

yes have the list but it’s very tiny on the phone but have a few written down to look up for at shop thanks
 
I have almost all the ultimates which are on it then some of the petbarn things will check hopefully tomorw
 
He went a bit up & now down again it’s almost 4am am unsure of what to do but he’s at 193 +6 so I’ll try a snooze til snack at +8
