Okay I'm still super new and hoping for opinions. I'm not a posting pro and struggle in all things. My Willow was initially diagnosed diabetic April 12, 2022 and was briefly on vetsulin. I switched vets, insulin and diet. New vet said Semglee 1U 2X day. I did that for a while but want super hard to control her diabetes thru diet and have been giving mostly wet and at times Dr. Elsey dry. I have not shot in weeks. My vet is comfortable with not shooting when her number is in 100-200 range and says even if a tad over on occasion, it's okay. Thoughts, opinions. And I just want to say I have the best cat ever because my 15.5 yr old girl let's me test her by holding her upside-down like a baby and purrs just bc she luvvvsss me. Thank you! And hoping all the info you need is below bc I'm lousy on the whole signature thing.

It's kind of hard to tell because you don't have a lot of data on your spreadsheet, but Willow's numbers are higher than ideal. I think the opinion here will be that she should be getting at least a small dose of insulin twice a day.

Here is the link to your original post on Feline Health, for some background: https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/newbie-with-questions.263113/

There are a few other things we'd like to see on your signature besides the link to your signature: New? How You Can Help Us Help You!
Just go up to the top right of the window where you name is, click on it and there is a drop down with the entry Signature. It's just a text box you need to type in. The date of diagnosis, type of food and meter are quite important.

As for dose, I agree with Sara. How would you feel about trying 0.5 units twice per day or even 0.25 units? Her numbers are too high. You should be able to give shots when she's over 150. The spreadsheet does not look like a cat that is ready to be in remission. Your vet may be more used to the AT numbers so thinking those higher numbers are OK. They are not with a human meter.

You have to go up top where your name is like Wendy said to add this to your signature , it's not really added , go up top ,tap in your name a drop down will appear, tap in the word signature then add DX date, Food you are feeding ? Is it low carb wet and the Dr Elsey's Dry? If so you can just put LC Wet/Dr Elsey's Dry
and add Relion and Semglee then tap Save Changes
Take a look at mine ,it's in gray lettering

I’ve tried multiple times to correct signature on various devices and I always get error messages. It’s ok. Thk u all anyhow.

That would b great. Relion. LC/wet Dr elsey dry. Diagnosed 4-12-22. This morning she tested 126, about 30min after eating. I’m a bit concerned about neuropathy. I’ve seen 2 brief incidents where her hind legs gave out for about 1 minute. Also, she’s had 2 seizures in the past year. I had echo done by cardiologist and no issues.

@Bandit's Mom
Hi Bhooma , can you contact @willow segal ,she doesn't know how to add to her signature, tried a few times but couldn't do it
Andi did list some info post #8

The last time she gave insulin was on 5-10-22
Vet told Andi
. vet said he is comfortable with not shooting when her number is in 100-200 range and says even if a tad over on occasion, it's okay.

Wendy gave her some suggestions see #3 about dosing
The cat obviously needs some insulin
Also I see on her SS when she was shooting she was using Semglee
Thanks Bhooma
