5/12 Jack-298 AMPS-day 4 glargine-hold dose?

Jack is 295 this am,with 0.7 blood ketones. The ketones seem to be staying between 0.4 and 0.8 I am not working from home today, so won't be able to test much. I'm thinking to hold the 3 units dose, but need to increase at some point. I didn't get too many fluids into him yesterday, he was very uncooperative. Also,
I never got up to test Jack again last night (was looking for a +9 or +10 PM number), I never heard the alarm.

Two questions: 1. Hold at 3 units today?
2. When and how much do I increase the insulin?

Yes I would stay with the 3 units for now at least until tomorrow unless there is a change with the ketones.
I’ll tag @Wendy&Neko to see what she thinks about when to do an increase and by how much.

Bron - I'm thinking the depot needs to stabilize which will likely be 5 days/10 cycles. I'd hold the dose even though I don't think 3.0u is enough insulin based on the previous dose of Prozinc.

Thanks for your advice; looking at his numbers, they are slowly coming down. I'm bummed I couldn't get more tests today, to see if he was in the 300's at all. Maybe I'll manage to get up tonight to get a +9/10 hour pm reading...paws crossed.
