4/23 Chnoudi- Question for vacation dose

Hello to my wonderful team!! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Hope you are all fine!!!

As tomorrow is the orthodox Easter, I 'll go to my birthplace to see my family for 2 days! :)

My bf will stay with our fur babies and he'll take care of Chnoudi.
He can shoot, but he can't monitor. He can also follow the food program accurately ( food @+3, +4, +6 ).

Given the fact that even in her very low numbers (36, 38), she went up with her normal low carb, do you think that it's too risky to shoot her normal 1.50 ? Or he should shoot a lower, vacation dose?? Kind of 1.25?? Or 1.00?? Just to be safe... ? I don't know...

I'll shoot tomorrow morning, I'll leave, and I'll be back on 4/25 at night or on 4/26 in the morning...

A lot depends on how attuned to Chnoudi your BF is and how often he will be testing. If he's not as diligent as you are, then I would drop the dose a little lower. The other issue is how good he is at drawing up a dose that isn't on a line on the syringe. In other words, if he's good at drawing up an accurate dose, is reliable about testing, and can tell if your kitty is heading into low numbers and knows what to do, then the dose is fine. (I'd also point out that the low numbers you referred to happened a month ago.)

If he's not adept as noted above, then reduce the dose so you won't be worrying while with your family.

He can't test, he can only shoot. :oops: So, from what I understand, the more safe is to lower the dose. You think that 1u is OK? She is on 1.50u now.
 
1.25 units should be OK, unless you think BF will have a problem with those quarter units on the syringe. In which 1.0 units will be OK. It's only two days. Have fun with the family!
