Yep, I knew he would. It was gorgeous green. I really hope we can see that again on this dose. It seems like every time we finally get to green, he drops just enough to get a reduction. Sometimes I wonder if I should give him another chance on that dose just to see how he does a second time before cutting the dose. I want to see more green! I was tempted to do that last night but decided to stick with our plan and see what happens after the bounce is over. Patience, that’s the word of the day according to Max.:cat:

You always do have the option to do that. It would be a judgment call based on many factors and not necessarily a new hard and fast rule.
 
For example, since he was just 69 yesterday, you might have not reduced. But really, I think you did the right thing sticking to the plan (since Max has special considerations for his post-SRT safety.). Let’s see what happens after the bounce clears.
 
Thanks Suzanne. We will see how quickly he can clear this bounce. If it goes on and on, I might go back to his 7 units because he builds up toxicity too much for me. Then I have to look at him feeling miserable. I don’t have any plans outside of the house for the next few days so I can monitor him closely if I do that. I’ve gotten to the point that I do a lot of things online and don’t have to go out too much. I do still have to keep grandchildren sometimes but unless I have Ava by myself I can handle it. (Ava has a trach and has to be suctioned often. I don’t take her around Max.) Today is a good day for errands I guess so I am getting ready to go out for a bit. Anyway we will see what Max can do today. Thanks for your input!
 
Are you guys going to get hit with the strong storms that we are going to have tonight/tomorrow? So far this week we have been lucky. Just rain and a little wind. The storms tonight are supposed to be strong though.

Yes it looks like we are right in the middle of it. I can take the rain but when they start talking wind and tornadoes, that scares the mess out of me. I pray that everyone will be safe and it’s not as bad as they are saying it will be. Power will probably go out. I hope not for long because I have 2 new boxes of Levemir pens and half of the box I’m on now. Max came down some by the way. Hope y’all stay safe there too.

Well, just make sure you have a cooler with those ice blocks for the Lev pens. Of course you wouldn't put them right on the ice packs, but you know that. Also, Levemir pens are really tougher than we think. We keep them in the refrigerator because it takes us a while to use them up, but human diabetics carry them around in their purse/pocket. They're so expensive that we don't want to take any chances (not to mention if the insulin should lose potency and not work as well on our kitties!) I hope you won't lose power or have any other damage.

Max is sliding down. Come on Max, clear the bounce.
