3/9/22 Chloe update! Vet visit!

Chloe went to see her vet yesterday afternoon for her ~6 month check up. Everything was great!
He was happy to see her sugars and very impressed with the spreadsheet her weight was maintained from last visit at 12.6 lbs and the thyroid was within range!

The only thing he mentioned was her potassium was slight low (3.1) and that could be causing some of her leg muscle weakness. He was familiar with Zobaline and knew of other patients who tried it with success. He gave me a potassium pill but haven’t picked up yet as I had to get back home right after the visit and it wasn’t ready.

Overall I think it was good visit. thank everyone for helping Chloe have a good visit.

You can get NOW potassium gluconate in powder firm and just add it to her food. You only need 1/4 teaspoon. It can cause stomach upset so give with food if you decide to get it from your vet. There’s nothing magical about the veterinary potassium.

I was able to pick up the potassium today!

It was affordable at the vet actually, not much more than retail when I looked and shipping was an issue since it’s no where near me in stock

I forgot to ask them though, I was going to call back … how long does it take to see a result in labs?
What is normal potassium level?
