? 2/19 Lila AMPS 206

Good morning! Lila's AMPS was 206 today. She just started Basaglar Monday so I think her depot is still building. Her she is usually in the 300s pre-shot and her NADIR is in the 100s. Is it OK to give her normal 1 unit dose?

Then you're good to shoot :-)

Don't fill her up with food with the shot. We may need her to eat a little every hour or two to keep her from diving.

OK, sounds good! I can do that. I've been giving frequent small meals to help with her diarrhea. She's had such a rough time. On another cat I wouldn't hesitate to shoot +200 but this is new territory for her! Hopefully it means we are moving in the right direction with this insulin change!
