Happy Sunday!
well… this morning I decided to skip Jades shot. It was definitely not my intention. She came in a bit low this morning ( for her) and even though I know it’s a perfectly fine number to shoot at, she didn’t eat very much at all AND I won’t be home all day. I feel bad skipping but even if I planned on being around, the fact that she didn’t eat much makes me nervous.
She takes thyroid meds and until fairly recently we had them compounded into a chicken flavored chew and I would roll the chew in with a pill pocket and she loved them. It was part of our routine. Then, she stopped eating them. Tried the teeny tiny pill and that didn’t work either. Have tried about a dozen treats to mix tjem in with and any time I even come towards her, she turns her head and refuses. I had to go a few days pilling her and it was a nightmare. Just started her on the transdermal meds and it’s better but she seems to be developing a rash on the right ear. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
I’m running out of options. I’m going to ask my vet if we can try the chicken flavored liquid form but I would have to put it in her food and not directly in her mouth and I don’t know if it’s even effective that way. Poor Jade. Other than that, she’s playing , peeing, pooping, preening and purring. :cat:

She still hasn’t eaten which is unusual. I can also hear her stomach making insane noises just sitting next to her. :(

Poor Jade. Do you think she’s nauseous?
Her BG never really shot up today. Still in the yellow zone. She’s been sleeping in the same spot since 9:00am. She’s not hiding and purrs when I pet her. Hasn’t been up to pee or poop either. Now I’m getting a bit concerned. I wonder if the transdermal form of thyroid meds could throw her off?

She did just get up and ate about half of a portion of Sheba and peed. She then went back to sleep. I hope she eats in 2.5/ 3 hours so I can shoot this evening.

Her PMPS was 351 and she ate about 1/2 of her evening dinner. I was able to do our routine a bit earlier having skipped her shot this morning. This way I can test her this evening. I didn't give her the full .75 because she still isn't eating as much as she usually does. Hopefully, this was just a day that she didn't feel 100% and will feel better in the morning!
