I had to take my oldest cat Chloe to the vet today. For the past few days she has not wanted to eat. I have been syringe feeding her though. The vet did not find anything that was obvious so now we are waiting on the results of the bloodwork and urinalysis. She suspects it may be kidney disease or possibly an infection. Chloe is my oldest cat, she just turned 17.

Keep your fingers and paws crossed that they only find something that is either treatable or manageable. Diabetes is not suspected. I tested her and she was only 121.

Bad news. Chloe has liver cancer. So now I am providing hospice care. She still has the will to live so we are making her last days as comfortable as we can for her.

Oh Lisa I'm so very sorry, my heart is breaking for you and Chloe.
Like you said all you can do is make her comfortable, lots of love and kisses .
Sending you lots of hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: and kisses for your precious girl ♥

I know our time with these gentle creatures is always shorter than we would like, I am so sorry to hear of this but I know she is being well-cared for and loved thoroughly.

I am sorry... We will all have to go through this, letting go of our gentle small cat beings..Your cat knows that she is deeply loved!! I hope you find some relief in making the time left as comfortable as possible.
