1-28 Leo AMPS-503/ +2@475/+4@474/ +6@373/PMPS- 364/+2@330

Sometimes there’s a real high bg before a bounce breaks. Hopefully Leo will come down to earth today or tonight.

That's encouraging! Thank you.
So I'll watch and see.

Are there other recommended other
+_ BG time(s) to do meanwhile that is most helpful?

I’d get a +2 to start. If a lot lower then a +4. If not then a mid cycle.

Thank you! Alarm clock set

I put this in my notes so I will know exactly what is considered mid-cycle, but let me me know if this is what you consider mid-cycle, please.
"Mid cycle:
4 to 6 hours after a meal (post shot) is when you should see the lowest BG reading of a cycle."

Yes BUT nadirs change and some cats can nadir at shot time. Random testing at diff Times along with curves will help you figure it out for Leo. Fir example in 1/23 I would have gotten a +6 to see if he was going down even more if it was convenient.

Even if I had a +6 on 1/23, BG is still higher than before (that I was aware anyway). Just sad the direction is up rather than down. I'll keep testing. Still not the best at getting enough blood from first poke.:(

While you ponder which method you'd like to follow, how about catching some before bed tests :), I'd sure like to see what Leo may be doing in the evenings, regardless of whether you pick TR or SLGS, getting those before bed tests sure can help fill in some details. Many kitties like to go lower at night, but hard to know without getting those tests in. And as I mentioned before, right now you are just seeing half the picture. It might be that he's having some lower numbers at night and bouncing during the day.
