The forgotten shot is catching up to us today! Hope Ruby slides down. Doing pretty well otherwise--she climbed up onto my chest this morning to wake me up with purrs and headbutts. :cat:

Ruby wishes everyone a great start to the week!

Yikes, one point away from the colour that shall not be named! Darn (fur) shot.

Love the pic, looks like a great hidey spot.

Shouldn't today be poo day?

We did have a poo! Just entered it into the spreadsheet. :) It was big, but soft, so I'm happy! Now I expect her to be heading downward.

Hi Katherine and Ruby, thinking of you girls. How is Ruby doing with the IBD treatments, Katherine?
Hi Margaret! How's it going? Our treatment of Ruby's SCL is going really well. We had an ultrasound done in November and there's no more thickening of her intestines so the pred is working. :) Been successfully keeping her BGs below renal for the most part so that is good, too. She's got other things going on--fleas, arthritis--but we're going for an oncology visit on Wednesday so we shall see how her bloodwork looks. She's eating well, pooping with the help of lots of different things added to her food, so I am optimistic.

Hope you and Miss Pearl are doing well. Looks like you're starting another OTJ trial. :) Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello!

I’m so glad to hear the Pred is holding Ruby steady and a huge HOORAY for a stable ultrasound!! That is fantastic!! I am so sorry to hear about the arthritis and, fleas (!!) I am currently starting to work on Pearls and Chessie’s arthritis now that we are hopefully stable in other areas!

Margaret, is Pearl out of remission?
Hi Suzanne :) it was a long story but Pearl went on Budesonide for IBD in Nov, under assumption it wouldn’t raise BG. I had a brain blip and didn’t think to test that hypothesis for 3 weeks…and you guessed it Pearl and Budesonide don’t mix. So I switched her back to her usual Pred and it took 6 weeks to work her back down off insulin again.

@Katherine&Ruby do you remember when we were talking about Budesonide or Pred for Ruby many months ago - well given Pearls story I am glad you went with the Pred.

That’s so interesting because everyone says Budesonide is the one that won’t alter the BG. Every cat really is different! But Pearl is back down now and OTJ! That’s so good.
