Our last condo - yes, it's been a while!

Good morning everyone from chilly SW Florida! Brrr...we're not used to this chilly weather - and I see that the rest of the country has what might be called - even more chilly weather - WOW! It's Ccccccoooooolllldddd!!

We've been busy, but well. Everything is going as it should with Miss Luci large and in charge. We had a good albeit quiet holiday season here - and it's hard to get my head into it here we put out the minimal number of holiday displays, etc. Less for Luci's target practice!

I've been following along on the board to see how our old and new friends are doing. Sad to see that we're still saying goodbye to our beloved fur babies along the way..'sigh'...it's always sad to see that. It's good to see that so many are doing very well and so many newbies too!

One of these days there will be fewer cats getting FD diagnoses...but when is that going to happen? Maybe when the pet food industry informs cat owners that grains, carbs should not be in their foods? In the meantime, it's great to see the group here still thriving and providing support and help for so many who are on this journey.

I was surprised when I looked at the spreadsheet and saw it has been 4 years now for Luci. You are such a good bean, taking fabulous care of her. How is she doing after her i-131?

I was surprised when I looked at the spreadsheet and saw it has been 4 years now for Luci. You are such a good bean, taking fabulous care of her. How is she doing after her i-131?

Luci seems to have responded perfectly to the I-131 treatment. She gained a little weight, leveled off and is back to her usual lovely self! Eats well and it seemed just what she needed to set her off in the right direction. It's been a year now since that treatment and I have to say it was just the ticket to get her feeling healthy again! Thank you for asking Good to hear from you too!

Actually everyone is doing quite well. Even my mom surprises me doing as well as she does at 91! She's slowing down a bit, but that's understandable at that age.

I know that losing Dolly has been difficult for you. She was after all your world...and I'm worried that someday that's going to happen to me...I have no idea what I'll do to fill the time - you know that time of day every day when we provided care for our fur babies...

I hope you're taking it one day at a time and finding things to do with your time. Sending well wishes to you and hubby!

Hi Sue,

It really makes me smile to know how well Luci is doing!
Since my Tina passed, I barely have or use my voice around here. I wanted to be brave, healthy and I am going in that direction, but it is oh so hard sometimes. And slow, very slow.

I have sweet memories of you and Luci, and want you to know how much I appreciated you in the "good ol' days"! You have taken such good care of Luci, and I personally know a happy thyroid is critical for good health!

One morning, Tina had an AMPS of fifty something. I was very concerned that giving insulin was not right. You encouraged me to shoot, and all worked beautifully. Tina was off insulin soon after! I love Luci.

Awww....I'm glad I was able to help. Yes, the good ole days...seems like yesterday to me! Don't be a stranger to the forum Jan! Stop by now and then and visit Familiar faces are always welcome. I know it's hard...I will probably feel the same...Luci and I send many hugs.
