It’s time to come down now Max. Let’s get to it now! I’m hoping he will come out of the bounce. Does it just take time for him to get used to green? He seems to have a long bounce every time he makes it to green. :(

Does anyone know if it’s safe during freezing cold weather to have insulin shipped from Canada to NC? Would I still do the extra ice packed shipment?

Some cats are more bouncy than others and it does take time for them to flatten out. You just have to keep increasing until you hit a "good" dose. Most of the time things just sort of "click" and the cat says in good numbers. I'd be careful shipping in below freezing temperatures. It can ruin the insulin if it freezes. Maybe call Mark's and ask what they recommend for shipping in those kind of temps.

Thanks. I should have ordered more before it got so cold. I have enough for about 3 weeks left I think. I will call them once they open.

Good grief! If that’s a bounce, it sure is long lasting!
I know. I don’t know what is going on with that. He came down some after SRT, now it looks like he’s going back up! Max is making me an old woman way before my time!!! Gosh! Wendy said to give it to the end of today. So I guess that means go up tomorrow if he doesn’t come down.

@Wendy&Neko I guess he’s going to stay high and flat again today. When you said give it until the end of the day, you mean go up tomorrow morning, correct. Unless of course he does come down.

I just spoke to someone from Marks and they said they could ship it safely in the styrofoam box. I called because I know that some medications and vaccines are temperature sensitive. When I was working we had to check the temperatures on the vaccine refrigerators twice daily. I was just making sure because right now in NC one minute it’s 20 F and the next it’s 75 F.

My logic is that it's possible he'll break the bounce after six cycles, ie. tonight. You don't want an increase in the cycle he's breaking the bounce.
Yes that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. I heard that y’all have a lot of snow! I called Marks today and the nice lady there was telling me about it.

Right now it's pouring rain. Snow was last week, but still waiting for the rain to melt some of the clumps. We have a lot of varied terrain here, from beside the ocean to up the mountains, so precipitation varies too.

I’m closer to the ocean than the mountains of NC. About 2 hours from the outer banks. We don’t get a lot of snow but we do get a lot of wintry mix and ice.
