1/8 Jade amps 294 / long night/ reduction/PMPS 399

Good morning and thank you again to @Bron and Sheba (GA) for staying up with jade and me all night.
You can see how our night went on my SS. This morning she was back up to 294 at AMPS and i know that she's earned a reduction to 1U but this morning (only) I opted for .5U. I know everyone else would have gone ahead with a full Unit and I know that I could have but I have been up all night and just had Covid for over two weeks and am still not feeling 100%. Add in that Jade is feeling pretty sensitive and tender from being poked so many times in the last 12 hours, I just felt that giving her a smaller dose this morning was the best thing for both of us and will give her the 1U this evening. This way I can leave her alone a bit today altho I will test her probably at +5.
I am so relieved that my instincts told me to check at +4 when I saw that she had dropped pretty quickly at +2. I hate to think of how far she would have dropped in the 2-3 hours until her typical nadir, which is between +6 and +7.

You have to do what you need to in order to keep Jade safe and take care of yourself. I hope you get some rest today. Jade will be fine and come back down soon enough.

Hi Jill, I hope you are not feeling too tired today after a late night.
You need to take care of yourself to get over covid.
Looks like Jade is bouncing from the 63 last night. She will come back down when she’s ready. In the meantime make the most of the respite.

Remember you are in control when you are testing the BG and you have the tools to manage a drop…..testing and food.
The depot would have emptied a bit with the lower dose this morning so I would be surprised if she dropped low again so soon.
