He had a really Shitty day on the tenth we’ve since reduced again and been more diligent with pre feed numbers. I fed him a can of wet mid afternoon, in the hopes that his numbers would come up.
Is he flirting with remission this fast? Should I split his dinner and give him half at lunch?

It is really important you test before every dose of insulin to see it is safe to give the dose.
I would also suggest getting other tests in during the pm cycle apart from the +2 ones as he is often in lower numbers.
What dosing methods are you following?
You must take reductions when Thors drops under 2.8 (50) otherwise you are risking a hypo event.
I can’t see any insulin amounts for the last 4 cycles.
Yes he is doing very well but if you want a strong remission, it is important that he stays on insulin as long as is safely possible so his pancreas can heal. if you post each day, we can help guide you through this. At the moment you are chopping and changing the dose which is not good for Lantus. If you could choose one of the two dosing methods that are in the yellow stickies at the top of this page and then follow that method you will do much better.
Are you giving snacks during the cycles? I would suggest feeding at preshot times and again a couple of times during the first half of all cycles.

He hasn’t been getting insulin in the pm because his numbers have been between 3-6. The vet started us on 2u with instructions To test +2 and contact them if we had more than two readings out side of the 3-6 range. As I’ve been learning more obv I’ve realized this isn’t the best way to do things.

I see I’ve updated todays mine on the spread sheet for the wrong day I’ll correct that momentarily.

Thanks for fixing the SS.
When you get a situation where you can only shoot once a day because the other pre shot BG is too low, we recommend you split the dose in half and give half in the morning and half at night, to see if you can get back to twice daily insulin, which is what is needed for cats.
So at the moment I would suggest trying 0.25 units morning and night and seeing if that dose works well.
He is doing very well for a newly diagnosed cat and could very well go into remission, but we want that remission to be strong so you will need to keep going down in dose, when he earns reductions, to 0.1 and a drop before stopping insulin.

Hello and welcome to you and sweet Thor. He does seem to be responding well (perhaps too well), to the insulin so far. Good thing you were testing and found out 2 units was too much! Bron has given you some very solid suggestions on dosing.

Did you by any chance change the type of food you were feeding him when you found out he was diabetic? A food change to low carb can make a big difference in the amount of insulin needed.

Your spreadsheet also seems to be missing the US tabs. Although Bron and I read World #'s (waving hello from B.C.), a large number of the people here who help with dosing are in the US, so we leave those US tabs in and the spreadsheet should do the conversions automatically for you so they can read those numbers and provide suggestions.

We did change his food. the vet advised we change before starting insulin so we did a pretty hard switch from kibble to twice a day raw, along with no more dental treats.

I can restart and switch all the info over tomorrow. I deleted it because it wasn’t updating

Glad to hear he took to the raw so well. I also fed raw, but more mini meals like Bron suggested. More at shot time, and smaller meals the first few hours afterwards.

If you still have problem with the spreadsheet, let us know. We have some people who can help with them.

Welcome to the forum a lot of us are struggling with feeding multiple small snacks instead of 2 big ones but it really helps the pancreas not “overwork” itself. Is it an option for you to look into an autofeeder? Lately we even bough the second one: one for the morning cycle and one for the evening cycle (we still divide his day in cycles even though he if off insulin for a couple of months) . We found an autofeeder with freezer, which allows us to use it with raw food as well.
