Sunny just doesn't want to go into the green on this dose. He did the same thing last time we came down to this dose of 1.25u. Only nadir'd in the blues. And as soon as I raise him to 1.5u, he goes low, into the 40s and earns the reduction again back down to 1.25.

According to the TR protocol I should keep him on this dose for another 3 cycles before increasing the dose. Should I wait a little longer this time before increasing? @tiffmaxee @Bandit's Mom @Hshray what do you think?

Actually with TR if he needs an increase, which I agree he does, you can increase whenever you decide a reduction isn’t giving you the numbers you want. You only have to hold at least 10 cycles when it’s the first time on an increased dose. I’d go back to 1.5 tonight or tomorrow morning, whichever cycle you can monitor closely. If he’s low, 60’s or below at amps/pmps or even +2, feed a little higher lc or add a teaspoon of mc to his amps/pmps and +1-2 to prevent a drop into the 40’s.

George might be right there on the increase train with Sunny after tomorrow.

When George was earning reductions by dropping under 50 my plan was always to hold the dose for three days (so 6ish cycles) after each green, just to give him time to settle in and make sure there wasn’t any bouncing going on, so that would be right in line with increasing either tonight or tomorrow morning too.

Thanks Elise and Hillary. I'll raise his dose in the morning back to 1.5. :( I feel better about starting a new dose in the AM cycle. Man this is frustrating! But it's a reminder that patience is key in this process.

@Hshray I'm sorry George may need an increase too, but hopefully he just needs a little more time on .75. Come on orange boys!

You could give him one last chance (tonight) to see if he responds to the dosecrease threat. It's 6 cycles from that 52 on 12/2 - enough time to clear any bounce and be back in green.

I prefer to do increases on the am cycle too. If it makes you feel any better, George earned reductions down to 0.75 when he was on a roll, and then had to go back all the way back up to 1.75 before he started earning any reductions again. Definitely a process, but I try keep in mind that the longer we can keep them in the greens on any dose the better :bighug:(hence all of the MC I used to feed him to keep him surfing…which he probably dearly misses haha).

Thanks for that! That does help:cat:
