I’m home at lunch, he didn’t eat his FF salmon so just gave him 1/4 cup Dr Elsey dry chicken & he ate most of it. He had 1.5 U of Lantus 5 hrs ago. I have to go back to work soon, worried! Also posted on Facebook page

88 this late in the cycle is a comfortable/safe number. He probably dropped without food. Can you get another test before you leave?

t should I do if he is low tonight before his shot? I don’t know if I should reduce his insulin or not give any?
Since you are following SLGS, he earned a 0.25 unit reduction down to 1.25 units tonight. If you are worried about how low he might be tonight, any chance of getting a +11 or +11.5 tonight to give you a heads up where he'll be? Or even a +10 if home by then.

Oh boy, he is up to 336 at +11.5!! I gave him a quarter cup of Dr Elseys at lunch because he didn’t eat his breakfast pate. Should I give him 1.5 units?

No. He’s earned a reduction to 1.25 because his bg was under 90. The dose is based upon how low it takes him. He’s bouncing now which is why his bg went up so much.
