Frodo (switched to Lantus from Prozinc)

Hi Everyone! So we r starting new adventure (me and my cat Frodo) - we switched from prozinc to lantus few days ago. Anyone who can help pls have a look in his numbers. I’m doing a curve today and he’s pretty “green” so wondering what’s my next step?

It would be good to leave space between the prozinc and lantus readings. The 49 is too low. A reduction has been earned. I see Kelly told you that the new dose is 2.0. Are you going to follow TR or SLGS? What is MPM?

Thank you! I’ve just read that MPM Is a TR version for prozinc so I don’t know if I should stick to TR or go back to slgs when I changed the insulin?
 
I see you switched to Lantus on 11-11 it's in the remarks section
You need to put a line above 11-11 and put switched to Lantus

Also change it up top on your spreadsheet where you have Prozinc
You can leave the word prozinc then /Lantus as of 11-11
 
Ok I managed to do some empty line without destroying whole content of spreadsheet :facepalm: also changed already the signature. I’m gonna add the info on top of the spreadsheet now hope it’s all good

You didn't fix it in your signature get rid of
SLGS switched to MPM on 07.10.21. And just put TR 11-11
And also on your spreadsheet up top

Just to be sure are you going with TR for Lantus ?

Hi Elise a little confused , Paulina has noted she will follow TR for Lantus
Why would Frodo earn a reduction , he only dropped to 49 today and is a long term diabetic, the sticky says if you drop under 40?

I might be wrong but since just starting with Lantus I think a reduction was earned and wasn’t sure if following SLGS or TR. You can go back to 2.3 in the morning if you want. Thanks for pointing it out Diane.

OK Thanks, im wondering if anyone else might want to comment on it too ? Maybe ill try the 2u since i have to work tomorrow morning and also bit busy few days ahead so maybe to be on the safe side 2 u are better?

I'm sure that's ok, you can always raise the dose again
Oh and everything looks correct :cat:
 
So i got a call from my vet that she checked my spreadsheet and she noticed the decrease of the dose and she wasnt Happy that i didnt check that with them and that they wouldnt recommend to do any changes for 7 days….and Imagine before i told them that im checking his sugar on daily basis (actually I’m the only customer to do that) they were just checking him doing fructosamine test for a good year or so….

Updated the numbers and Just whoever available pls have a look hows frodo doing and if maybe im missing something.

Hi again. He was 141 (7.8) this morning and since i have to go to work i did 2u. Just back now and he is 102 (5.6 +5 after his morning shot) so i fed him and gonna check his sugar again in the afternoon. He will probably eat when im back with kids in around 1hr or so. Let me know what u think. Thanks.
 
He was 42 on the 18/11 and 60 on the 21/11 PM cycle, @tiffmaxee wouldn't it be a bit too soon to increase? :bookworm:
@Paulina would you consider making a new post for every day when you have a question? it makes the threads easier to follow and people on the forum have it a bit easier to find the kitties they are following :) for example: 11/24 Frodo 321 AMPS; 160 +5

He’s over a year diabetic so the rules are different. Long terms on TR earn a reduction if under 40.
With the holiday it’s fine to stick with this dose until after though.

Well i thought that its less mess if i keep continue with one thread since its literally few the same ppl that follows me and answers my questions. Sorry still a bit confused how all that works :rolleyes: appreciate all the help from u guys :kiss: thank you so much❤️

Actually on the contrary :) people that follow and help you will find your post by Frodo's name and date, the Lantus forum is organized like that and works great :)
 
Just link your old condo to your new one. That way you have continuity. A day old post might get ignored if we are scanning and busy.
