Shooter is his normal fat, always hungry, happy self. Koda has been my worry for quite some time. If you don't know he has chronic pancreatitis. Still waiting for his TLI result to know what else might be going on. Started him on 25 mg gabapentin a few days ago as well as proviable-dc. Gave him his first round of 100ml fluids this morning. Hopefully this helps. I'm getting scared. :(

Oh, I totally understand, Heather! I hope these things will help poor sweet Koda. It sounds like you are doing all the right things, pending results of bloodwork and a possible ultrasound.

Are you giving Koda Cerenia? Sorry for asking if this is a repeat question! Cerenia for the pancreatitis, I mean.

I am trying to. Originally I had pills but they made me nervous because they aren't super small, so I had it compounded into this liquid paste that's supposed to be beef/chicken flavor. When I tried to give it orally he ran around foaming and drooling everywhere. When I mix it in his food he turns his nose up and walks away. Maybe I should try transdermal? Is it more than just for antivomiting though? Does he need to have it even if he's not vomiting?

Yeah. Cerenia tastes sooo nasty that you can’t hid it. It needs to be put in a gelcap. Maybe transdermal would work? It’s not just for vomiting. A lot of panc cats take it regularly to help. It has anti inflammatory and analgesic effects. What are you giving for pain? Bupe? Oh wait… I see Gabapentin. Okay. I hope the sub- q fluids will help too.

Oh, ok. I better keep trying to sneak this nasty tasting stuff in his food somehow since it was $80 for a little bottle! Otherwise, I'll have to just cut my losses and check about the gelcaps or transdermal. ;)

Oh yes… sorry….. you got liquid! How’s Koda today? Oops. I had better not keep bumping up your old post. If you make a condo for today then tell me on that day how Koda is doing. I’m worried about him.
