Hello again everyone! Dallas has been less active these last few days, so I decided to check his glucose and it was 112, last night when I checked it was 122. Are these still OK numbers? I'm hoping that I'm just worrying for nothing. He does have a mild ear infection in his right ear. I dropped off some ear swabs a couple days ago, but unfortunately the vet doesn't have any available appointments for an exam before November 16 and she says we shouldn't start him on the ear drops before she can exam his ears. This means his ear infection will go untreated for another 4 days.

He's only been OTJ since Oct 13. I can't do this all over again.

It’s likely the infection. Did you test 4 hours after eating? Those are still ok bg numbers.

It was at least two hours after he ate. Should it have been 4? I'm not sure when exactly his last meal was. I had his auto feeder set to open at 2pm, I got home from work at around 4:30pm and tested shortly after 6pm. He most likely ate right when the feeder opened.

Yes. If the pancreas is working bg drops 3-4 hours after eating.
