Appy was a little off yesterday. We had houseguests and an animal-loving nine year old chasing after her for unwelcome pets all afternoon, so maybe she will bounce back today.

I will be leaving on a three day work trip early tomorrow morning, arriving back very late on Thursday. DBF will be managing all cat duties and taking her to the oncologist on Wednesday. The doctor will call me during the appointment while I am away to discuss the exam and her ultrasound. This will be my first airplane trip since COVID and the first time I will be very far away from home and the kitties for more than a couple of days.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week. :bighug:

I hope all is nice and calm while you are away. Of course I wish that for you all the time but especially while you are away. She’s in good hands.

Hi Katherine, poor Ruby running away from unwelcome pets, how about Olive, how was she
I'm sure Ruby will slide down to her blue and green again
Glad to here Frank will be there for our Ruby
I'm sure youree not crazy about being away for 3 days, Mask yourself up good, I don't want to have to worry about you my friend :cat:
I'm glad the doctor will be calling you with the results on Wednesday

Thanks, Elise. I'm actually heading your way, with meetings all over LA, so I hope the weather is nice at least. :)

All right Ruby- Do I'm loving those greens!
Katherine I got my booster Pfizer and oh my God, I felt awful for 2 days, headache, dizzy, weak, freezing and nauseous. Of course my arm was killing me.
The first 1st shot no side effects, the 2nd just got the chills .
Strange how the 3rd one affected me.
I hope we won't have to get anymore because I don't want to go thru that again.
I'm happy Ruby is back to green :cat:

Where are you traveling to, Katherine? I hope all goes well on your trip and that the traveling part, itself, is not too bad (connections, etc.) I'm looking forward to hearing about Ruby's ultrasound. Wonderful that Frank is taking her.

I'm so sorry to hear that it laid you up. :( I didn't want to risk that before I went away. I'll get it when I come home.

Sunny southern California. :) It's a direct flight from JFK to LA so it shouldn't be too bad.
Yes. That should be a good flight. I used to take the direct flight from Dulles International Airport to LAX all the time — an easy, enjoyable flight. Of course, that was in the good old days when we got fed on transcontinental flights - and it was in the pre 9/11 days. Also, my brother was an American Airlines pilot so we used to get passes to fly first class! And my husband used to work in San Diego a lot so we also used to travel down there as well (used to be one of my favorite places.). Little did I know that we would move to California later on and live in Ventura County on the Central Coast.

I hope you have a successful trip!

Yellow start for Ruby but she's been green and flat all day. Yay. :) I found her on a high shelf inside the closet a few minutes ago, surveying me as I pack. The new apartment has lots of nice places for her to jump. It's good to see her active and exploring.

Lucky you! I was able to keep my Gold status on Delta that I achieved in 2019, before the world went south and I was on and off planes a lot, and I just got a complimentary upgrade to Comfort class. That's about as good I'll get. :) I did get upgraded to First Class on a trans-Atlantic flight to Ireland when Frank and I went there together. That was super because we got to eat a real meal with real silverware and slept in one of those chairs that go flat.

Yeah. Those are nice. We had those chairs on Lufthansa when we went to Russia. All their accommodations were nicer than the U.S . Airlines though.
