Hi Adrienne.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dolly not eating. I know this may be an insane thing to suggest but do you think with all the meds she is on they might be taking away her appetite. I would love to know what others thought about this idea.

I know you are so worried but I hope you are able to enjoy this afternoon at Chase's game. I'm sending you back healing prayers to both you and your Dolly Girl.

Thanks Summer. She can’t smell her food, that is why she won’t eat it. I think the steroid drops caused more damage to her sinus track. She sniffs her food, can’t smell anything so she walks away. I have been dealing with this a long time and used every trick or hint ever suggested. It no longer works. I hope you are doing okay. Think of you often and Susie will always be part of my heart.

I'm so sorry. I wish I could offer some helpful advice but I have none. Poor Dolly, not being able to smell. I hope that will improve - somehow, someday soon.

Is Dolly still not eating today, Adrienne? I am very worried. She just has to start eating again! Yesterday it seemed like the Mirtazapine was working. Today no?? I know we talked about syringe feeding… I guess that’s not an option? Sometimes I have had to syringe feed for a few days to get a kitty over a rough patch….. sometimes longer to supplement what they will eat on their own.
