COULD BE 911: Well, today we started off in the yellow zone and have moved into blue. I will post a few more times to see if we should hold at 15u [past 4 days] or increase.

I test +7 twice
The first time I got 75.6 and the second time (I thought I made a mistake!) it is 74.

I will give him a little bit of higher carb cat food and check again in 20 - 30 mins.

Gave high carb food (two large teaspoons).
30 minutes later: rise to 85
Just now 92

Please see SS. This has never happened and I'm wondering what this means.

He doesn't need high carb food, as long as he's above 68 on the AT. It is nice to see him spend a little time in those high greens. Hopefully his body will start getting used to it and stop bouncing so much. With seeing those greens, you hold the dose a little longer.

If you need to feed again, give him regular low carb, to see if he's stay in normal numbers a little longer. You also don't want to artificially inflate his preshot number with the higher carbs, which can wear off and drop the numbers after a couple hours.

I do have to feed him before insulin tonight. I gave very little higher carb food when I thought he was going lower and lower. I’ve got 2.5 hrs before shot and he’ll get his regular low-carb snack preshot. So I will hold unless BG dips but I think you are right about care to not inflate. I just got an adrenaline rush when I saw those beautiful greens!!!

Although the last reading was 8.1 I actually did it 3x because the first time was 4.1, then the second read 12 and the third was 8.1.

I'm posting because I'm newbie with BG and it suggests stalling 8.3mmol/L or below.
 
Have you fed him? If not, that's good. It's been almost 1/2 hour, try testing again and see where he is.

Note, I combined two posts into one. We ask for just one a day to retain the history, but you can change the subject to grab eyes.
 
I will note that you have shot 157 before, not a lot different from 146. And he might bounce.
 
I finally fed him and did the shot @ 15u at 8:40 and just missed your post. Thank you so much. I must seem so undecided! I'm hoping that I can gain a little more confidence but when it comes to insulin I feel quite out of my depth.

Anyway, it's now +2 and he's 158. I'm going to set my alarm and test again.
