Good morning, This is Rob, just did a +2 test on Mable with numbers of 47,53,49. Just gave her some medium carb food and a few treats. Mable appears to be getting back into her old self again and is being more interactive with us.
 
You need to give her some high carb now. Test again in 20 minutes. This is too low. Will you be home to monitor? If you need to go to work can you take her with you? Please answer as soon as you get this.
 
Good. It’s very important to keep her hungry. It is very early in the cycle for her to be this low. You will need to test and feed often for several hours. I’ll guide you. Each time you feed her just a couple teaspoons from now on. Post the test results each time.

What did you feed her? What is the highest carb food you have? Do you have honey or karo if needed?
 
Hello, this is Rob. I was able to get 5 tests :71,51,61,63,64
I'm assuming it's average is more or less accurate. I will continue to monitor.
Gave her a teaspoon of ff medley chicken primavera

Mable seems to be going into remission. The drop dose caused her to fall under 50. You don’t need that many tests. Get a test 30 minutes after the last one. It takes about 29-30 minutes for the food to kick in. She could drop again so if in the 60’s at the next test feed a little lc and test in an hour.

I suggest a brief food trial to make sure she’s ready for an otj trial. That means no insulin tonight, get a pmbg and feed her normal lc food. Get another test 3 hours later. Do the same tomorrow.
 
Hello this is Rob, by test, I'm not pricking her that many times. I'm just getting as many of the sticks to scan with what little blood I get. Thank you so much for helping me out!
 
Hello, it's Rob. The 30 minute check came up to 58 and I gave her half a tea spoon of high carb. She I wait till her dose time tonight for another test, unless Mable seems off?
 
No. She needs to be above 50 for 2 hours without food before you know she’s safe. How long has it been since amps? Are you able to fill in the spreadsheet? If not don’t worry about it. Just tell me how long since amps.
 
So far very nice with the food trial. Please if possible post a condo each day. Just link the previous condo and no need to write anything unless you have questions. Good luck. :D
