? 9/9 Yoshi PMPS 100, +2 81, +3 38

It's possible the 38 was a bad strip. Now that he's safely above 50, you need not feed HC. You can switch to LC

You want to ensure he stays up 2 hours after the HC. Test again at +4?

Thanks, that’s what I was maybe thinking!

Just tested again and he’s at 78 @ +4.5 (he was 72 @ +4.) I haven’t fed him since the hc food at 38. Should I feed him a little lc or is ok to not feed him anything. Going to test him again at +5. If he’s trending up would it be safe to call it a night or should I be prepared to stay up later? I suppose I could always feed him a little lc food before heading to bed?

Looks like he is staying up. A +5 should confirm that. I would wait till then to test and feed. If he stays flat or higher, it's okay to go to bed.

I will be around. Let me know when you get a +5.

Just took his +5 and he’s at 80. Would you recommend leaving out some lc food or think he’s safe until his morning breakfast? Thanks for all the advice!

On the dosing front, he earns a reduction from tomorrow to 1U. With SLGS you would have reduced after he dropped below 90 on 9/5.

Do you want to look at TR? It looks like he on an all-canned diet and you test enough.

Definitely!

I still can't tell if the +3 test was off. Next time, get a second test to confirm?

Yeah, I’ll make sure to test again before feeding him the hc food next time. Feel like I’ve had a few instances of a strip being quite different in a short span of time.

yeah, I think I might be able to now. Had been waiting on some work schedule shifting and think I might have a stable enough day to day to be able to switch him over.

I’ll be sure to start him on 1u tomorrow. Really hoping he’ll eventually stabilize in to lower numbers and won’t be jumping all over the place soon.

Thanks again!

Even with TR, that drop below 50 today is a reduction since Yoshi is newly diagnosed.

If you're changing over to TR, please make the changes to your Signature and SS to reflect that. Thanks :-)
Oh and the +4 cell in your SS for tonight needs to be dark green and not lime. Lime is for below 50 (on a human meter).

Haha, yes the unfortunate problem of trying to put numbers in with my phone. I updated the color to dark green! I haven't switched over to TR yet but I'll be sure to change it in my Sig/SS when I do. Hoping to do so soon. Thanks again for all the help!

A quick housekeeping note --

On this forum, we don't have more than one day's posts in a thread. You link each day's threads together, just like you did in the first post. The idea is that there is one post per cat per day.
