? Basaglar pen - air bubbles

Does anyone have tips for avoiding air bubbles? I am using a Basaglar pen and UltiCare U-100 31-Gauge Veterinary Insulin Syringes with 1/2 marks and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries before I can get a good fill without air bubbles. I am still new at this and am wondering if this it is always this difficult or is there any tricks that someone has found to not get air bubbles? Thank you.

I often had a few bubbles. Try first filling the syringe with a little more than you need. Then flick the syringe to get the bubbles to the top and expel a little at a time to get to the right dose and get rid of the bubbles. I’m not sure I’m explaining clearly though.

Make sure you pull the plunger in/out several times before inserting the syringe into the pen.

also, if you've "twapped" the syringe hard but there are still some bubbles that won't move up, try pulling more air into the syringe and then "thwap" it a few more times......then expel all the air. It's sometimes easier to get the little bubbles to move up into a bigger air bubble.

Ahh. I will definitely give this a try. Thank you!
