Going back to 1.75 units. Hard enough to be consistent with this dose but the fat is even more difficult. We will see how she does. Probably won't be much of a change.

Mom's doctor appt. went well. The oncologist said she has improved with the biologics but he can't continue to treat until she gets rid of her asthma. We have an appt. next Friday to see her pulmonologist.

I hope everyone had a nice Saturday. I'm thinking about and praying for all the folks in the path of this monster hurricane, Ida. I'm also thinking about all the wild and domestic animals and birds that will perish. Please, if you are in the path and have time to leave TAKE YOUR PETS WITH YOU. Don't leave them behind! :arghh:

Didn’t you say she needs to lose weight? As she spends more time in normal numbers it’s natural not to be as hungry.

She has lost weight. I haven't checked her on my scale in a couple of weeks but I can tell. I have heard that with her being in more normal numbers she should be less hungry. Hope that won't be a problem when I need food to bring her up.

Yesterday was fun (not). Susie has been spending more time under my bed. I think the storms and my manic foxhound have had something to do with that. Pretty difficult trying to get a cat out from under the bed when you need to test. I have a California King with lots of space to crawl under. I finally had to cover every open space with boxes, picture frames and anything I could find. So far, it seems to have worked. I used to tempt her out with Temptations but now with the reduced appetite she doesn't seem as interested. Hope this works!

Good morning, Summer. Where is hurricane Ida supposed to be headed. I hope not here since I really haven’t tracked weather at all this week … have been very preoccupied with watching the horrific news of the disastrous debacle in Afghanistan. So I had not heard about Ida.

Good news on the cancer front for your mom. I hope the asthma can be better controlled. I hope she doesn’t smoke since that can’t do anything but damage her lungs more and make it harder to breathe.
I hope you have a good day and Susie will be in safe numbers.

Hi Suzanne. Hurricane Ida is headed toward New Orleans then is expected to take a turn to the right after landfall and moving up a tad. I don't think you have anything to worry about due to your south eastern location but one never knows with these storms.

My Mom has never smoked. I do but never in the house or car with her. Susie is bouncing big time :arghh: Afghanistan is a nightmare. I hope you and your family are well and all your fur kitties are happy and healthy. Have a great weekend.

Pokey Breaks are Good once in a while:cat: Mama bean gets a break also Healing hugs and prayers for your MOM:bighug::bighug::bighug: I have Asthma also it s#$%#!!!:arghh:
I'm sorry to hear you have asthma too. My Mom hadn't mentioned it lately so I didn't even know it was a problem. I don't think she did either. Susie just had one of her classic "big drops" so I might not get too much of a pokey break after all.

I hope Susie slows down and surfs safely. Glad your mom is doing better. I hope the asthma improves too. Sending prayers.

Thanks! I checked the news. We are likely to get some rain out of Ida. New Orleans is in for a cat 4 hit, it looks like. Bad! And then there’s another tropical depression after this one (TD 10).

I'm glad Susie's numbers started to come up after that dive. Hopefully that makes it a little less stressful for you. She sure does like to keep you on your toes. I'm happy to hear that your mom's appointment went well. Hopefully today isn't too stressful.

She is being lazy but seems okay. Her appetite seemed to come back along with the higher numbers. What about you? Did you find homes for your kittens? How many inside cats do you have Suzanne? Don't you feed ferals, too? I might be confusing you with others.
Oh no. That’s me. The crazy cat lady. I still have foster kittens. Sometimes it takes a while.
