I thought I had it figured out which foods she liked, but she's throwing me for a loop yesterday and today. Basically just eating the MC topper I put on her normal LC.

I ordered some FortiFlora that should be here today. I also gave her some Cerenia in case the Clavamox is upsetting her stomach. But since she'll eat the MC fine, I'm not sure that is the issue :-/

It would be so much easier if she could just tell me what she was in the mood for rather than me going through 4 flavors to get enough food in her.

I have had good luck with this product: https://www.chewy.com/dr-tims-flavor-booster-genuine-freeze/dp/105060

Luci gets picky sometimes too...I think they all do. I put down food and she turns up her nose and walks away - but Luci is tricky and often will return to the dish after a bit and eat...it's just that she doesn't do anything when I want her to...she's a cat who listens to the beat of her own drum...

Anyway...try that flavor booster if you can.

Do you think the meds are making her feel uninterested in food? I know they sure can influence my appetite when I'm not feeling well...

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep this in my cart in case the FortiFlora topper doesn't work. She didn't get care for freeze dried treats when I tried those initially (chicken, salmon), but maybe this flavor is okay.

I thought perhaps the meds might have made her not want to eat, which is why I broke out the Cerenia this morning. Chloe frequently visits her dish multiple times a day (we just leave it out until +10), but lately there's been a lot leftover. I want to make sure she's eating enough and also I don't want to waste it. It's not cheap! :blackeye:

FortiFlora topper

I agree - I used up an entire box of Fortiflora - it's healthy for them (creates good bowel stuff)...and it was enticing to her...I just happened to stumble across the Dr. Tim's because I was on Chewy.com - and thought I'd give it a try. Luci loves it - but as with all things Luci...sometimes she just licks off the Dr. Tim's and leaves the food. I try to put down the smallest amount for her when she's being picky - if she eats it (a big IF sometimes) then she'll come and stare at me until I give her another bite or two...when she's hungry she lets me know - when she's feeling picky the food is left - and yes, it's a killer to throw it away! It IS expensive!

But again, she has no appreciation of anything such as the cost of foods. I've found that rotating brands and flavors helps too. I order a variety of foods from Chewy - Protein One, Blue Wilderness along with a variety of FF pate's - even a few cans of Friskies pate in there to mix it up. Imagine eating the same thing day after day...I don't care much for it...and the Princess here won't tolerate it. I've told DH that too - never ever give her the same thing she had been served previously - and yes I use those little Zip Lock round containers for all the cans that are open - they usually keep pretty well in the fridge for a day or two...

I hope the meds help too! Tough to eat when you're not feeling so good. Poor baby...send her some scritches from us!

She's starting to eat a little more now at +8. Put some different food down (again), and put a little bit of dry (Wysong) on top of her breakfast that have drawn her attention. We'll see what dinner is like.

Clavamox, or antibiotics in general, can ruin the good tummy flora. I found it helpful to add a probiotic (not Fortiflora, it's just one strain and more of a flavour enhancer). Probiotics should be given two hours apart from the AB. Ondansetron is much better for nausea in cats than Cerenia is, though it can help some.

A topper that works well here is freeze dried raw pieces. At least I know I'm giving a complete food if all she eats is the topper.

First PMPS was 60. Retested immediately and got 66. She last ate around +9.5.

Currently stalling to see if BG is riding without food.

I did buy some RenewLife probiotic, but I didn’t know about the timing. I mixed it into a couple of meals.

Hi Alex, 66 is no different from the 72 that you shot before. If you wait she might keep dropping. Are you hesitating because she's not eating well?
