8/15 FCC PMBG 86

Hello, I hope everyone has had an excellent week and all kitties find themselves in good fighting health. Poor FCC took a few stabs to the ear before I got enough blood, but eventually I managed to get an 86.

Because it is green I am not sure whether or not we should be giving insulin. I am a couple hours of schedule because my partner is not available at the regular AM time tomorrow and I still need to learn to do the shot.

Okay. Do I feed him the exact same way I did before? In terms small amounts at +1 and +2?

Is it best to go back to his old time for testing or should I keep it a little earlier in case insulin is needed this week?

Yes. Feed small mini meals. As for when to test, do itnwhen convenient for you to start your day. If he does need a little insulin you can then test and shoot when it works best. It’s very possible he’s now food controlled. I sure hope so.

He has to get back into the habit of being poked

You can give it a break and test at AMPS/BG. I think 2 tests a day should be enough for now. What do you think @tiffmaxee?

As long as he’s green or under 110 do just 2 tests a day. If his Ambg or pmbg is higher than that I would try for a second test 3-4 hours after he eats. Sound good?
