Today was Sister's first below 90 AMPS BG number. She was chasing me down asking for food with the others so I made the decision to FEED and skip rather than stalling, etc.
Took the easy way out...

Will check numbers throughout today.
(She is getting a PM+9 snack now but sometimes it is PM+8 because I am awake.)

Glad you didn’t wait on me to shoot tonight. She did have a great cycle today!

What do you think about withholding insulin for a few cycles, feeding a +9 snack religiously, and seeing what she does? My crystal ball is hazy so I have. I idea if she will trend up but her cycle today makes me wonder if she’s ready for a trial. Instead of starting the trial, we should just dip into it a bit for a few cycles and see what she does. Want to try?

I feel nervous about it. I regretted not giving the measly one drop after I saw Katie & Dexter's SS with numbers way below Sister's and still getting his one drop.
Thoughts:
That Sister's pancreas still needs that one drop to heal completely.
That waiting to see some 70's may bring about a stronger remission.
That Sister's surfing at higher numbers (100+) brought on by not shooting could be harmful to her pancreas.

Is the 4:00 a.m. snack going to be a lifelong thing?
It would be nice to sleep till 6:00 a.m. again...
(Cuz when I am dreaming I am with Matthew McConaughey, like last night, I never want to wake up.)

Have you thought about investing in a timed automatic feeder? They are a lifesaver for FD CGs.
You could set the feeder for +9 each night and stay asleep and dream about Matthew McConaughey while Sister gets her +9 snack!
A win, win situation.

Ok I have to address the most important thing first.

No, the food trial is just to see if it brings the PSs down. If it doesn’t, there’s no need to do it.

Certainly, you do not have to try to remove insulin yet. See how she does.

I have 5 cats. It would be interesting to see who actually got the snack first. (Sister will not fight for food; she backs off.)
