@Chris & China (GA)waiting for DCIN to get back to me if they can order strips for me or not
Sorry. If you could tell me in terms of whether it was +6.5 or +6.75 etc? I am in a different time zone.Literally just before I posted it 1:36 and 1:36pm
I understand. I was expecting him to earn another reduction soon, so I didn't think the number was off either - till I saw the next test. I would nevertheless reduce to 0.50U from tonight.I did not think to check because he had been in the 70s when I checked 6hrs before
Is this a human meter? You can use it if strips runs out. Just make a note in your SS when you switch meters.use my backup meter which I have nearly 100 strips for
The food was given at +6 (just after I did the test an saw it so low) .... the test about half an hour laterSorry. If you could tell me in terms of whether it was +6.5 or +6.75 etc? I am in a different time zone.
And how much time after the MC + honey were these tests?
Thanks. Let's reduce his dose tonight to 0.50U.The food was given at +6 (just after I did the test an saw it so low) .... the test about half an hour later
Yes. Sometimes the cat's pancreas just decides it doesn't need help.Ok. Is this normal that some cats change this quickly on insulin? I know he was switched to LC food right at diagnosis in November .... he was 477 at diagnosis (converted to US units) ... dropped into 200s on the new diet (once I settled on FF anyways) ....
Just around 3 months. She started insulin on 10/26/2020 and was off it by 1/15/2021.if I am reading it right, that cat took close to a year to come completely off insulin
Tested using backup meter (low on strips for my Freestyle and I noted it on the sheet in comments). He tested as 95Like I said last night...I would have reduced to .5 this morning. Whatever's going on with Jaxon's pancreas, it looks like it's kicking into gear!
Now that he's in the 100's, I'd test at least 1 more time (about an hour from those tests) to make sure he's not coming too far down again.
Do I need to worry about checking for ketones with his sugar this low?
