? Changing lancets

I know for testing BG on myself, I did not need to change the lancet every time ... just change it when it started to be uncomfortable .... but is there a guideline as to how frequently I should change the lancet I use for my cat?

Gotten several answers of "new one every test" and one that has said 4 pokes per lancet before new one .... but the GENERAL answer is NO do not re-use lancets

Right - new one ever time, because it dulls every time, just like a syringe. This pic is of a syringe but same idea -
