With a history of DKA, skipping a shot is not a good idea. 9.9/9.7 is a perfectly safe number to shoot. You have shot an 8 before!
Ok thanks going go make the needle, My whole family has a flu/cold. I was puking all night sorry the title not working I was doing in my bathroom.

With SLGS you need a curve every week testing every 2 hours for 12 hours or every 3 hours for 18 hours and 2 tests each cycle.

He should be safe today but try to get up and get a test on him. I’m so sorry you all are sick; I sent you a message about Ruckus last night and I fell asleep before you wrote me back.

MSU only runs those tests on Wednesdays. Since he just had the blood drawn on June 28, I wonder if they ran his test June 30 or July 7 (Wednesdays). Also we’ve had a few people here who recently got results back and it seemed to take a long time. Get better! Check Ruckus!

He had a cat panic attack when he went and had to get oxygen and it was a extremely rough trip. He’s never been that upset at a vet in his life.
You mean when he went to the vet on June 28? He freaked out? He is going to need those teeth cleaned at some point as you said. Maybe you will need to ask the vet about giving him some Gabapentin to calm him before his next visit. A lot of people with cats who are stressed by vet visits do that beforehand. Remember that you need to get Ruckus into better numbers before the vet will agree to put him under anesthesia and clean those teeth, right? So he will need more insulin. Dirty teeth can contribute to other health problems in a cat - heart problems for one.
