Good girl Ruby, . You and Ruby have a good day ♥![]()

Thanks, Lyla! The greens were a little short lived but still very glad they stuck around for those few hours in the morning. Happy to see you.Yay! Happy to read a good report today and see those greens. She must be feeling pretty good if she is playing!
This is only our third time doing it so it’s hard to note trends, but she does usually make a beeline for her food bowl when she comes home and has better energy. We’ll see what happens tonight.Nice greens and blues! Does the acupuncture send her green?? Ha, put on the patience pants (shorts) and I will see!!
Hi Katherine, just stopped by to say hello. Hope you are having a good day. Hope the Acupuncture helped Ruby feel better. Happy to hear she is eating and pooping, two very important cat actionsYesterday on This is Ruby.
Ate 8 ounces of food yesterday.
Pooped.
Played with string.
Green AMPS.
Grieving with our dear friend Suzanne. The time we have with our kitties is precious and beautiful. Cherish every moment while we can.
Have a wonderful day.![]()

That's essentially what I think is happening. Having observed Ruby's patterns for a good deal of time surfing on mostly greens, I now see the effect of the pred as a kind of layer on top of the action of Lantus, if you will, and it's definitely pushing nadirs further out than her usual times. Then I give a shot at PMPS which, if the pred is still strong 12+ hours, gives it another tamp down. Eventually, if the timing is right, we get a green at shot time which gives us a bit of a head start and usually helps her stay in blues and greens the whole day. I'm really curious where she goes at night when I'm sleeping as it could help me see the patterns a bit better.I'm wondering if it's actually that the pred is delaying the insulin's ability to work. As in it's getting to cells first and blocking it out, and then as the pred wanes you get onset/later nadir/overlapping cycles.
The Libre will be nice for that...if she'll cooperate. That's essentially what I think is happening.
