Ugh! Starting out so high this morning.... :( I'm planning on running into WalMart this afternoon to pick up a Relion meter. Last week I did 2 tests in a row and my True Metrix gave 2 totally different numbers - 502 then one minute later 483. It bothered me, but thought high is high (not sure if that's the right mentality). Then after thinking about it the other day when he was at 41. Those 19 points could have made a big difference! I know none are completely accurate but I hear more good things about the Relion meter.

I added to my post above regarding glucose meters. Thoughts?
There can be up to a 20% variance in meter readings. All meters. 483 and 502 are not vey different at those levels. You can get different readings from the same blood drop!
Don't drive yourself crazy testing multiple times. If you get a reading that looks off, you want to retest to check of that was a bad strip.
