6/3 Pearl PMPS 115 we have a problem

Ok Houston...we have a problem.

Pearl will NOT eat any of the Wellness Beef and Chicken options (idk how it is named "beef" anyway since it seems all chicken to me).

The only thing I can get down her right now is her 0% Turkey and Duck combined with the MC I use (13% Hills A/D which she loves). I am trying to use the least amount of the 13% as possible, but I still judge each mini feeding is running about 6% carbs rather than her usual 3%. I am trying to use as little as humanly possible while still getting to eat.

And eating is a chore - she requires full-service feedings with this new food combo now. Sitting in her house, offered on my finger. She is turning up her nose a lot and I kind of have to force her to accept it to start off.

I am going to go to our local frufru pet shop tomorrow and see if I can't find some grain-free Venison and Lamb blend (without fish or chicken). I don't know what we will do if I can't find anything that will work. I really don't want to have to increase her insulin because of FOOD when she was doing so well and scaling down so very very well.

I will also call the Wellness company again tomorrow and see if they have any updates on the Beef, Lamb, and Venison blend production timelines. This is THE food that works for her and it's unavailable throughout the entire USA now.

Lumber. Cat Food. Two things really hard to find right now (or cost a pretty penny). So sorry to hear about not being able to find her food - have you called Chuck & Don's (link)? I put 24 cans in my cart but didn't check out might be worth looking into? Also, my civvie Benji can be picky with his food but if I sprinkle freeze-dried chicken on it, he will get interested and usually eat (assuming he approves ). A friend on here once told me the best food for a cat is one the cat will eat...you can always increase insulin if needed

I will check out Chuck and Don, thank you so much! I see they don't have any products in the store, but it will still let me check out so idk if that means they have it or not. I've had several instances where I purchase online then the company calls and says they EXPECT to get the food in a month or so, so I really hope fingers crossed not this one!

I hope these cans are actually in stock, I've had a few situations recently where the company projected having them and didn't have them in stock, so I had to cancel orders

So, about Don and Chuck...same story I've heard elsewhere. You can put in the order, but then they will order through distributor. Since the item is not available, they hold your money for however long it takes for the food to come in (months at this point). So if I put in the orders, that means I will have like 5K in food coming from all the different stores. WHat a mess! But thank you for the tip on this company!!
