Hello,
Djoko has been to the dentist today and he is healing well! He has gained some weight (form 5 to 5.13kg) and I am not surprised because he has been eaten like a monster!
They told me I could remove the collar but not sure if too early. They told me to give him 50mg gaba for the appointment. Poor Djoko could not walk and has slept the entire day. No more drugs for a while hopefully!

I need to monitor him carefully. His BG was very low this morning (2.2 / 40 on humain and 3.1 / 55 AT2).
When he goes too low, I tend to double check with AT2.

Next time, I am supposed to reduce his dose. Not sure we are there because of the blues but safety first.

Definitely reduce with the next drop. That 40 was one point away from an automatic reduction. :D With the teeth cleaning and infection gone he might need a reduction very soon. For some cats that’s enough for them to go OTJ.

Yes. I just wish his PS were only greens :). That would give me hope. I tested him at 3h30 am and was happy with the 4.3.

So happy to read his healing is going well. And nice numbers, too!

I can't give butters more than 25mg gaba at once and even that knocks her out pretty good. It could be related to the CKD, why Djoko responded that way to this dose. I got Butters's vet to get 25mg capsules compounded for me so I could give her a smaller dose.

I normally give him half of one 50mg - I split the tablet into 2 pieces. I did not do it this time thinking they would need to play with his mouth. for next week, I think I will not give him any. He is a gentle cat after all. He is so funny, he slept on a shelf in the closet last night on my clothes.
It is linked to CKD yes. I will ask if they can do 25mg!
