5/19 Oliver AMPS=387,360+3,177+5,164+8,PMPS=212 ,418+3

Oliver is sure a rainbow kitty. I’d start grabbing a test at +2 when he’s given you a blue amps and feed to prevent the big drop at +3.

Low carb food, right? He always has that down and available except 2 hours before shot time. But I definitely will check him at +2 to see what’s happening. Thanks!

If he’s dropped at +2 then try a teaspoon or two of 10-12%.

Oliver very rarely does NOT drop at +2 or +3. It’s more his norm than not. He has to go to a kennel tomorrow and I hesitate to make his care too complicated at this point. I’m going to need advice on the simplest plan for him on Thursday through Sunday. (Starting tomorrow) He will get reasonable testing and his shots but I don’t know that I can ask for too much monitoring.

So you need a slightly modified vacation dose. Or maybe not. I also worry they won’t get .25 right. It looks like he will be bouncing. It’s great they will test. What about sticking with .50 but feeding him lc unless he’s under 200 and 10-12% if under 200? That might be too confusing though. What about .50 but leave him with mc food? See what others think.

I thought about feeding mc. That keeps him from dropping. (And bonus, he will be in food heaven ha) I agree with you about .25 being difficult to get right. Those .25 and .75 are difficult to be consistent on. I take a lot of time getting it right. But yes, let’s also see what others think. Thank you!!

Though he only dropped a little at +2.5, I have given Oliver some med carb food to see if he will stay steady for the day.
His mc = 13 carbs

Oliver dropped over 50% even though I gave him 13 mc food. I just gave him some of the 15 carb food hoping that will steady him. Ugh. Bouncy boy.

It’s good you have tonight and tomorrow to experiment with mc.
Tomorrow morning he goes in, so we only have today to look at. Sorry if I led you astray.
In situations like this, do you ever say “if blood test = this, don’t shoot”?
I guess I need the final “plan” tonight so I can go in and explain well what to do.
Let me know - and thank you so much!!

Yes. You can give them a no shot number. It’s only 4 days. He will get back on track. If they need to skip a shot he likely will be fine the rest of the time. What are you thinking as a no shot number?

Boy, I don’t know. Do you have a recommendation? He is so erratic. He has gone from PS147 to 53, PS142 to 51 ....so I was thinking maybe 200? I don’t mind getting him back on track later. Please tell me what you think a good number would be for this roller coaster kitty.

I guess either 175 or 200. It’s just for a few days. He will get back on track soon. No need for you to be worried while away.
