Been pretty hectic lately. I do have some test data I need to go in and backfill, but it's all about the same.

Vials sure do drain a lot faster at 9U+!

Calling vet today to schedule blood draw for IAA and Acro tests

Good luck with the IAA/Acro tests!

Does Mr. Kitty feel the Lantus sting at 9U? Have you thought about switching to Levemir?

@Wendy&Neko
Thanks!

He does, but I found if I warm it and do it very (painstakingly) slowly, he's ok. I had tried splitting the dose into two shots, but it seemed like his numbers started to climb when I did that. I can't say for sure it was the cause, logically it shouldn't have mattered but who knows.

I had just started a new vial of Lantus, will likely switch to Levemir once this one is done.

Wendy, since Bhooma tagged you anyway - at what point do you guys start thinking about R?

Glad to see you are scheduling the blood tests - it would be good to know if either of those are what are causing the insulin resistance.

I didn't get the earlier tag. We don't start R unless we know what we are dealing with, be it ketones or a secondary condition. And with a secondary condition, lots of people manage it well without R. So it's situation dependent. I didn't start using R until a few years in - mostly because there wasn't a regular poster who was experienced with it and available to help when needed. R is a powerful but but potentially dangerous tool. You need to learn when to, and most important, when not to use it.
