Good Friday morning everyone!

Had to post today as Miss Luci is allowing me to shoot a lovely green - talk about rare air I'm breathing here today!

Only problem is I've got to take DH to the doc this morning - always about timing isn't it? Today of all days she has to start in the lagoon.

It's hotter than holy hell down here in SW Florida now - supposedly a 'cold front' is on the way which will take us all the way down to a high of 89 tomorrow...89? Well, that's cooler than the 90's I suppose. It's 79 this morning already - only going to get hotter - thank goodness for A/C!

Wow, that is an atypical AMPS for Luci! Quite the surprise. Hope she stays in the safe numbers when you are gone. I also hope your husband is doing well and will get a good doctor report.

I can relate to the heat as it has been hot here in East, Central Florida. Luckily, I am on a barrier island and we do get some breezes here. We have a nice breeze this morning.

Very nice Luci. That's some heat you got. We have a cold spell. Low 40s at night. Tonight news says to protect plants. Possible snow overnight/early morning. My heat is still kicking on at 60.

Just a follow up here: DH got a good report from his Cardiologist today The appointment today was just a three-month checkup after his cardiac cath earlier this year for some irregularity they spotted. He even showed us the live catheterization on his computer and everything there looked great!

As for his hip he thinks maybe it's feeling a little better today - it's been a really rough week for him. Hopefully the steroids are kicking in now (the injection into his spine was 7 days ago today)...so they said it takes about 5-7 days for that to start working...fingers and paws crossed he'll feel better soon! I've had enough of his grumpiness!

Thankfully we're close to the beaches and the breezes are our saviors! Only there's one tiny little problem now...the red tide has rolled in so there's a bit of irritation - especially at the beaches with the fish kill - ugh...

I see that inland areas are even hotter - lord!

Oh geez. I hate the red tide. I remember many years ago my husband and I took a vacation to Lido Beach off of Sarasota. The red tide was so bad it ruined our entire vacation. You couldn't swim and it even irritated our respiratory system. What a bummer vacation. We used to go to Lido Beach often and have fond memories of this area on the west coast.

I'm happy to hear that your husband had a good cardiologist report! What a relief for you both.
Yesterday we had the most awesome day here with a high of 71 -- we did a lot of gardening. Today it's 71 right now (12:23 p.m.) and it's going to get a little hotter but hopefully no higher than 75/76.

Luci did well yesterday... I wonder why she went higher in the evening?

I can only label that one as a bounce from that nice low start - and possibly she had been lower (I was asleep) before that? She doesn't give us a heads up in the wee hours that she's going to take a dip with the sharkies!

There are people who are here now on vacation and they're very unhappy with it! They apparently made plans a long time ago to come here to Naples on this particular week - renting hotel rooms, etc. and now they can't sit on the beach at all. I've been out there with the red tide and it's intolerable! It makes you cough as if you're inhaling smoke (for those who haven't experienced it)...there's no smell from it, just the dead fish which is bad enough - but it's the irritant that is so difficult to take. I feel sorry for them...it's expensive to stay in hotels on the beach and there are no refunds for that sort of thing.
