Yikes! Definitely reduce tonight! That R was a bit much today too. You want to try to avoid giving R if it's a bounce breaking cycle, otherwise the added momentum means you are dropping more than the 100 points in 4 hours that you want to limit it to. On the up side, she's clearing bounces quickly.

@Wendy&Neko - I missed the answer to this question....how to have known 4/29 was a bounce breaking cycle? I was comparing with 4/27 am cycle. We are now on cycle 3 >200 after reducing to 4.75u and ketones are creeping up. I don't like all the pinks.
 
4/27 AM was a bounce cycle, her +2 was higher than her AMPS. On 4/29, there was a good drop by +2 and the +4 confirmed it it was a bounce breaking cycle. The question is, how to know in advance, so as to avoid giving R in those cycles? Back in early April, she was going about six cycles between dives to green, so it was easier to predict. Some indicators of bounce breakers to come are flat cycles the cycle before, or cycles where they drift down slowly to blue like PM 4/27. Hard to say if PM 28 was flat. I think I would be careful in general about using R at a dose where she's already gone below 50, unless you know for sure that she's on her way up by shot time.

Since you are wary of ketones, I think I'd try to slow down any fast drops with carbs and see if you can prevent those drops to the 30's.
