Yesterday on Ruby’s Beautiful Life. :cat:

I’m away from the house after getting Ruby’s +2, and Frank is taking over the test and feed until my return. I’ve been training him to test and dose with the calipers because I will be having a procedure next week that might leave me off my game for a few days. Ruby loves Frank, and he is gentle but also very detail oriented and focused, so I know he will do a great job.

Healing thoughts for all of the sick kitties and hugs to you beans. Happy Tuesday everyone. :bighug::bighug:

welcome, frank!
Nice that Frank can test for you.
I'm glad Ruby will be in good hands
Frank sounds like a keeper! :)

I am lucky to have Frank. He has been wanting to test and shoot from day one but I had a little trouble letting go. Today he got a few tests in and a feeding. Apparently everything went very smoothly today without me hovering. :p

Yes... next thing you know he'll be calling Ruby "my cat." It is nice when they care so much and are happy to help out. I know of a woman on another group whose husband did not want her to give insulin to their diabetic cat. She went along with him and now the cat is gone. It was very sad. The cat lasted about 6 months on a reduced carb diet, but the whole thing was very sad. Now, I would have given the insulin anyway, but that's another story.

That's so awful. :( There's a special place in Frank's heart for Ruby. My relationship to them predates meeting him by many years so he always defers to my judgment as to how I manage their care. Initially he did think some of the things I do are a little over the top, like the calipers, cabinet of supplements, etc., but he also sees how Ruby has returned to her happy catlike ways since I joined this board and started studying feline health in earnest, so he gets there's a method to the madness.
