We helped Jax cross the rainbow bridge this morning. He was a few weeks away from being 16 and just the best kitty with the softest black fur. We read this to him this morning:

May you have endless play under benches, bounding leaps from counter to counter, loads of sunshine for naps, plastic bags of various thicknesses at your disposal for chewing, and an endless supply of food that is not trapped in the auto feeder. We love you Jaxy - fly high.

Many thanks to FDMB and the wonderful people here. What a beautiful place.

Such a beautiful tribute. I only just met you but my heart broke and tears are in my eyes with seeing this post about you and Jax.
I am so very sorry. I dont know if I can handle being here with people having their precious ones passing.
These things hurt me, I dont care whose precious it is. I love them all.
I know I cannot mend any pain you endure but only to send my loving care to you.
RIP Precious Jax

If I may, with Butters and Jax having been joined at the hip for most of the past nine months, she and I (but mostly her) put together a little wish to Jax of our own. Butters plans to read it to him at the next Full Moon Party:
May you also have a river of gravy on everything, your own or some other kitty's regurgitated food to eat anytime you feel like it, a Christmas tree decorated to the nines for you to mess around in to your heart's content, your very own stove to sleep on whenever you want, nightly fried chicken dinners in Baltimore courtesy of me (I will prepay with my Lyla's bank card;)), and a pushover kitty to sleep on top of whenever you're not sleeping on the stove. Love, butterz.

Fly high, Jax. You will forever be loved and remembered.

Thank you for all of the love and support ❤️ Truly each message means more than you can imagine - FDMB is a special, special place. And, please note Jax had a green AMBG this AM :D - I wasn't giving him insulin this AM but gave myself permission to test his BG one last time :cat: - I then fed him his favorite MC for breakfast and more MC as a snack before it was time for the vet - he thought it was pretty awesome getting MC and having regular BG :p. His diabetes was not part of our decision and I am so very grateful for FDMB for that ❤️.
Across the rainbow bridge, Jax has hopefully has found some of his fur cousins by now along with fellow FDMB kitties cat_wings>o I am positive those who have gone ahead are showing him the ropes (like where the gravy is, the plastic chewing station, and that MD fried chicken :joyful: @Butters & Lyla ).

:bighug:My family thanks you all so very much :bighug: And I'll be around the board...I can feed a mean curve and love all the kitties (and humans) here :bighug:

Oh no....I'm just crushed to read this post...oh my gosh...I'm sure you're more devastated...

It is so very difficult to make this decision...and I'm so very sorry that it seems to sudden...he seemed to be doing so very well...but we always know in our hearts when it's time...

Bless you for helping him cross...sending so many prayers for you and your family at this time...:bighug:

And for your little Jax...may you catch all those butterflies sweet fellow...find your fur friends and frolic and play now...you can fly and be free of all earthly bonds...little precious one...cat_wings>o

My dear sweet Susanne, You were one of the very first to visit and make me and Dolly a part of this group. My heart breaks for your loss, Jax was a part of nearly every day for us. I called Jax and Dolly the "copycats" because their spreadsheets were so much alike. You, Jax and Benji have become part of our lives and I feel as though I lost one of my own. I will miss Jax's visits, I will miss hearing about how he is doing, checking his spreadsheet nearly every day. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. My love and prayer go out to you and all that loved Jax. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Special hugs from Dolly to Benji :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thinking of you and Jax throughout the day. Unfortunately loss is a part of life, the most painful part. No one can make it better or make it go away. I just want you to know how much you and Jax have added to all of our lives. Made us smile and often laugh. Let us know you cared about us and our kitties. I know how deeply grateful I am to you and how you helped me feel a part of this group. Jax will be so missed by all and even though you may not feel it we all share your pain. Jax is flying freely, no worry about “surfing safely”. He will forever be part of our lives and I just want you to know how much you are cared about by so many and we are here whenever you need us. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: And extra hugs to Benji from Dolly :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Susanne- I’m so sorry to read this and for your loss (I’ve been helping my parents move so I’ve been away from the board and had no idea). You gave so much to Jax and your Jax stories had me laughing during some difficult times. Jax was so lucky to have you and your love. Abby and I are sending you our best healing wishes.
