Levemir works MUCH better than Lantus,plus Lantus would sting when given such a high dose.

Levemir works MUCH better than Lantus,plus Lantus would sting when given such a high dose.

Boy, I hope Levemir works a lot better for Darcy than Lantus! How much Cabergoline does Amethyst get and how long has she been on it? I'm so upset about Darcy right now being stiff and lame in his legs and not able to jump well.

Boy, I hope Levemir works a lot better for Darcy than Lantus! How much Cabergoline does Amethyst get and how long has she been on it? I'm so upset about Darcy right now being stiff and lame in his legs and not able to jump well.

OH!!!! Healing prayers for your little man Amethyst gets 1.5ML Cabergoline every AM. She has been on it almost 3 years I am about to transition her off the Gabapentin and put her and her brother on CBD Oil. JoyBee recommended Charlottes Web for the CBD Oil I read that Gabapentin can cause Kidney damage if it is taken long term. Diabetes and being an ACRO are already hard on the kidneys so I am going to eliminate the Gabapentin and praying she will be alright with the change. You are doing GREAT Hang in there

I'm not sure where you read that about Lantus, but it is most likely because Levemir is a newer insulin and hasn't been used as many years in cats. Levemir is an excellent insulin. I know quite a lot of cats who have gone into remission on it, but also on Lantus... and some on ProZinc, too. It depends on the cat. Good luck! You are in good hands!

OH!!!! Healing prayers for your little man Amethyst gets 1.5ML Cabergoline every AM. She has been on it almost 3 years I am about to transition her off the Gabapentin and put her and her brother on CBD Oil. JoyBee recommended Charlottes Web for the CBD Oil I read that Gabapentin can cause Kidney damage if it is taken long term. Yes. I'm worried about giving Darcy Onsior (which is what the vet recommended) at least temporarily for his arthritis because of potential kidney problems. Then she recommended Cosequin. I think Buprenorphine is better than NSAIDS for cats. I hope Amethyst does well on the CBD oil. I wonder if I need to increase his Cabergoline dose (though he's only been on it a few weeks).

Our Vet,who we love, had me increase the Cabergoline slowly. Amethyst was on Bupe for a little while but it can cause constipation if on it too long
