`Hi Suzanne I always inject into the scruff also BUT because her dose is soo high the needle needs to stay in a bit longer, so she moved each time and some how that made it hit a muscle. I read that the lungs tend to be a place in a cat where stress goes first and she already has Asthma soo that combination put her in a Respiratory Stress Mode. That is why from now on I use 2 syringes in the AM and 2 syringes in the PMHi Pamela! Tell me more about how you got the insulin into Amethyst’s muscle. Did you just nick the muscle. I’m worried about doing this. And it caused shortness of breath? What else happened? I am sorry that you and Amethyst had to go through this. I always inject into the scruff. Do you inject in another spot?
